Product & Experience

Design Lead

— DATE

July 2022 – Today

I started working at Mint in mid-2022 as a Product Design Lead.

At the beginning, the Design team was neither well-organized nor fully integrated within the Product operations. So, I started by understanding the competencies and specialized skills of each designer and hiring key people to cover all design team action perimeters.

The next step was to split the team into three distinct areas: User Research, Design System, and Product Design.

After that, we collaborated with Client Partners, BAs, PMs, and the Tech team to define a new set of workflows, ensuring that all design needs aligned with Product strategy and Business requirements.

Then I partnered with product leadership to define long-term UX strategy and measurable KPIs to drive product experience improvements.

This included creating a brand-new Design System, implementing it across the entire platform, and simultaneously managing daily squad tasks and Design R&D operations according to the roadmap we defined with PMs, Clients, Business, and the C-Suite.

The Mint Design team currently consists of 8 people.
